KUALA LUMPUR – Having network problems on your phone today? Well, if you're a Celcom user, it's probably because your service provider is facing technical issues.

"Customers in some areas nationwide may find their voice and data services experience affected due to a technical issue we are facing right now.

"Our technical team is working hard to resolve this issue and restore services as soon as possible," Celcom posted in a tweet at 4.30pm today.

Since 3pm, Celcom users have complained that they were not able to make calls or receive a data connection, Berita Harian reported.

As of 6pm, Celcom gradually began restoring service to the network.

"We would like to apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused, as they were unable to place calls and access internet data," Celcom said in a statement.

As a token of apology, the mobile service provider is giving all its customers free internet data usage from 6pm to midnight. –  The Vibes, October 4, 2020
