SEREMBAN – The investigation papers into interstate travel charges against celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor and husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail have been sent to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) for further action yesterday.

Nilai police chief Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman in a statement said the investigation papers were sent at 2.30pm.

“Regarding the issue of interstate travel to Nilai (involving the couple), the investigation papers have been forwarded to the AGC for a decision relating to the matter, in line with Clause (3) Article 145 of the federal constitution.”

On Thursday, Neelofa was charged with not scanning the MySejahtera app or recording her details manually to enter Kedai Naeem Carpet Sdn Bhd at Kawasan Perindustrian Nilai 3 on May 2.

Her husband was charged on two counts of failing to comply with conditional movement control order standard operating procedure by not wearing a face mask, and not scanning the MySejahtera app or recording his personal details at the same place and date.

The couple pleaded not guilty, and the case is set for mention on June 4. – Bernama, May 22, 2021
