KUALA LUMPUR – Contact tracing mobile application MySejahtera now has a Health Records section and a revamped look, among others.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin posted on Twitter that the new look will help users to view and monitor their health information in the Health Records section on the app.

“Health screening records and child immunisation records can also be viewed in MySejahtera,” he said, noting that the update will be available starting today.

He added in a separate post that future updates are set to see the inclusion of blood donation records and a digital “pink book” – referring to health records for mothers and children.

Among some of the personal medical details that will be linked to the app from health screenings is the user’s height, weight, body mass index, and blood type.

Users will also be able to keep track of their various vaccination doses and follow-up appointments.

In March, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) had revealed in a report discrepancies in the ownership status of MySejahtera, sparking a public outcry over data privacy concerns.

Subsequently, it had also raised concerns over the sale of the app to the private sector, with PAC chairman Wong Kah Woh requesting permission from Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun to allow lawmakers to one day debate said report

According to Wong, the report will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat in July, with the sitting set to be held for three weeks beginning this Monday. – The Vibes, July 16, 2022
