KUALA LUMPUR – The Integra Tower on Jalan Tun Razak was evacuated this afternoon following a bomb threat.

According to the New Straits Times, police received a call regarding a bomb planted in the Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) office which is situated in the building.

Wangsa Maju police chief Ashari Abu Samah confirmed the incident, saying the building was immediately evacuated before officers carried out a search.

After combing the building, police did not find any explosives in the office but its bomb squad remained on the scene as a precautionary measure.

At press time, the 40-storey building is still sealed off for further checks to deem it safe for occupants.

Police did not provide more details but investigators were still combing through other parts of the building. – The Vibes, August 17, 2022
