KUALA LUMPUR – Commuters are facing longer waits this evening at stations along the Kelana Jaya LRT line, which is experiencing technical problems for a third time this month.
RapidKL has apologised, posting at 6.16pm on Twitter that service is “being streamlined” and would return to normal soon.
However, social media users replied to its post with photos of crowded stations, saying they were still stranded and waiting for trains.
At 7:17pm, RapidKL tweeted that service was back to normal.
Earlier, various tweets before 6pm also included videos of crowded train platforms.
“Again, @MyRapidKL @AskRapidKL are (you) guys stupid? … It’s been 10 minutes and there is (sic) no trains on both platforms. Please, we pay for this service,” said Twitter user @ordinaryboyadam who posted at 5:56pm while waiting at the KLCC station.

Another Twitter user @xuen_mahotsukai also tagged RapidKL, saying problems with the Kelana Jaya line were happening “literally every day”.
Just before 6pm, RapidKL confirmed in a tweet that the Kelana Jaya line was experiencing delays due to a technical issue.
The same LRT line experienced problems twice earlier this month. First, on September 1, after a train ran into problems near the Universiti LRT station heading towards Putra Heights, resulting in commuters alighting the train and walking along the track to the station’s platform.
On September 10, commuters complained about long waiting times and slow travel after RapidKL confirmed a train encountered technical issues at the KL Sentral station. – The Vibes, September 21, 2022
