KOTA KINABALU – Warisan reiterated its readiness to face the 15th general election (GE15) as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is expected to submit the proposed date to dissolve parliament to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong this evening.

Party information chief Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah said only when the mandate is returned to the people can the country end its political issues.

He said the infamous Sheraton Move which was masterminded by Bersatu and Umno was the start of Malaysia’s journey towards economic and political chaos.

Awang said Sabahans only wanted development and should not have been dragged into the power plays Barisan Nasional, Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional’s leaders.

“Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has been pressing for the prime minister to dissolve the parliament.

“From news and Umno sources, the prime minister will now have an audience with the Agong to submit the proposed date to dissolve the parliament.

“If approved, GE15 could be held in November. Warisan is ready if the election is called.

“Warisan has already established its machinery in all parliamentary constituencies and they will work to win as many seats for the party in the election,” he said in a statement here today.

Ahmad Sah said Warisan has scheduled for October 22 to launch its machinery in Tenom as he hinted the party will likely go solo in the GE15. – The Vibes, October 6, 2022
