KUALA LUMPUR – The producers and global distributor of Louis Tomlinson’s All Of Those Voices documentary film cancelled its theatrical release in Malaysia.
According to Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), the documentary will not be screened in Malaysia due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
“We understand that this news may be disappointing for those who were looking forward to attending the event, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused,” said GSC on a Twitter post.
Ticket holders will be able to get refunds in 14 working days. Refunds will be processed for those who purchase tickets online, while those who bought tickets from the e-kiosks will need to go to GSC outlets to get refunds.

Based on the film’s official website, the screenings were called off after filmmakers refused to remove scenes requested by the Film Censorship Board (LPF).
“To comply with local classification laws, the Malaysian censorship board required several sections of All Of Those Voices to be edited.
“We feel making these changes would go against the ethics and inclusivity of this film, therefore the film producers and the global distributor have made the difficult decision to cancel the theatrical release in Malaysia,” read a statement on the film’s official website.
A link was available on the website for the Malaysian fans to sign up for updates on the film screening.
All Of Those Voices promises “an intimate and unvarnished view” of Tomlinson’s life and career as well as his real-life struggles and triumphs.
Tomlinson also released his solo album Walls in 2020 and a second album Faith in the Future last year, before going on tour this year.
Last year, international movies such as Thor: Love and Thunder and Lightyear were not screened in Malaysia after LPF requested cuts to be made, which Disney decided not to pursue. – The Vibes, March 17, 2023
