A MALAYSIAN guest at the Paris luxury Ritz hotel recently reported that she lost a diamond ring worth RM3.7 million.

According to reports in The Daily Mail UK, the guest lodged a police report last Friday claiming the ring had vanished from her room.

She had left the hotel in the morning for window shopping and when she returned, she discovered that the ring, which she had left on a table, was missing.

The reports said that after meticulous search efforts by security staff at the hotel, they found the ring on Sunday – in a vacuum cleaner bag.

The hotel said in a statement, “Thanks to meticulous searches by security agents at the Ritz Paris, the ring was found this morning in a vacuum cleaner bag.”

“Our client is happy at the news.”

However, the ring is yet to be returned to the woman as she flew to London on Saturday and it is with police.

Reports said that the Ritz had since offered the women three nights stay as compensation. – The Vibes, December 11, 2023
