A POLICE constable died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a car driven by a man believed to be drunk on Jalan Temiang near Sekolah Kebangsaan Temiang, Seremban, early this morning.

Seremban District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din, said in the incident at 1.01am, the 23-year-old victim from Jalan Campbell Police Station suffered serious head injuries before being confirmed dead while receiving treatment at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital (HTJ) Emergency Zone, about an hour later.

“Initial investigations found that the victim was riding a Honda EX5 motorcycle from Seremban heading towards Temiang before being hit by a Perodua Bezza driven by a 26-year-old man who lost control and entered the opposite lane,” he said in a statement, today.

Commenting further, he said the driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Following this, the man involved was remanded for six days starting today to assist in the investigation.

Members of the public with information are asked to contact investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Shahrizan Khairi at 019-8461792 or attend the nearest police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. - August 18, 2025
