SINGAPORE – The Health Ministry has confirmed that one of the 14 imported Covid-19 cases announced yesterday is a citizen who returned from Malaysia.

The 25-year-old male patient is asymptomatic and has been isolated upon his arrival here, it said in a statement last night.

It said 11 other imported cases are also asymptomatic.

The republic yesterday reported 14 new infections, taking its coronavirus tally to 58,509.

The ministry has classified 1,727 cases as imported, community (2,276) and foreign workers living in dormitories (54,506). – Bernama, December 26, 2020
