A DOCTORED image showing PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang supposedly sitting in a car with Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and US President Donald Trump has sparked a wave of jokes and memes across social media.
The photo — which clearly shows Hadi waving from inside the US presidential limousine, known as “The Beast” — was quickly labelled “PALSU” (fake), but that didn’t stop netizens from having fun with it.
In the viral photo, Hadi is seen waving from inside “The Beast” with Trump seated in the back seat next to Anwar.
The irony wasn’t lost on social media users, given Hadi’s past criticism of Trump over his policies on Palestine. Many commenters joked that the pairing was “the most unlikely carpool in history.”
Prior to the ASEAN summit meeting as well as Trump’s arrival, Hadi had slammed the Malaysian government for inviting Trump to Kuala Lumpur, likening the move to “associating with the devil”.
He described Trump as having repeatedly vetoed United Nations resolutions and sought to influence Muslim and Arab leaders.

Another image making the rounds shows the same car at a petrol station, accompanied by a cheeky caption: “Patutlah Trump ajak PMX naik sekali The Beast. Nak pinjam IC isi minyak…”
(“No wonder Trump invited PMX into The Beast. He wanted to borrow his IC to refuel.”)
The post pokes fun at Malaysia’s fuel subsidy system, which requires users to verify their identity card (IC) at petrol stations — turning the supposed meeting between world leaders into a comical everyday scenario.
Despite being clearly edited, the memes have entertained thousands online, with many praising the creativity and humour of Malaysian netizens.
Built by General Motors, The Beast is a heavily armoured Cadillac used to transport the President of the United States. The vehicle is designed to withstand chemical attacks, gunfire, and even roadside bombs, with doors as heavy as those on a Boeing 757 aircraft.
Weighing nearly nine tonnes, The Beast comes equipped with its own oxygen supply, a supply of the president’s blood type, and advanced communication systems that turn it into a mobile command centre on wheels.
