KUALA LUMPUR – Keningau’s Kg Linkudau in Sabah will have to observe the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from tomorrow until March 28.

Of the 102 individuals screened, 19 tested positive for Covid-19.

According to a Health Ministry risk assessment, the locality has to be placed under EMCO to enable targeted screening on all residents there.

Meanwhile, the EMCO in the Sri Jelutung quarters in Pekan’s Mukim Bebar, Pahang ends today.

The order ended five days earlier than scheduled.

In total, four people tested positive after 80 were screened.

Some 337 people were found to have violated MCO standard operating procedures yesterday – 289 were issued with compounds while the rest have been detained.

Among the violations recorded, failure to observe physical distancing  topped the list with 109 offences, activities in entertainment centres (72), failure to prepare tools to record customer details (55), unapproved interstate/inter-district travel (42), not wearing face masks (41) and others (18). – The Vibes, March 14, 2021
