KOTA KINABALU – The Sabah National Registration Department (NRD) closed four more of its offices yesterday to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
Its director, Khairrul Aminus Kamaruddin, in a statement today said the closure involved its offices in Kudat, Ranau, Beaufort and Tambunan.
Previously the department had closed its offices in 16 districts declared as Covid-19 red zones, starting with Tawau on September 29.
Khairrul Aminus said the offices would be closed until a date to be announced later.
Yesterday, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Sabah was still the state with the highest number of new Covid-19 cases, reporting 702 cases of the 871 cases reported in the country. – Bernama, October 19, 2020
