KUALA LUMPUR – The Umno Supreme Council meeting has ended, with members seen leaving the World Trade Centre here past midnight.

Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi and Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom walked out of the meeting venue without speaking to waiting reporters.

Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah and Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, too, did not address the press.

The meeting, which lasted close to four hours, came after one held among Barisan Nasional MPs to clear the air over matters arising from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s failed bid to declare an emergency over Covid-19.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Sunday said he sees no need for emergency rule at this time, whether for the whole or parts of Malaysia. – The Vibes, October 27, 2020
