KUALA LUMPUR – Post-mortem on the bruised body found in Subang Jaya on Wednesday has concluded that the cause of death is due to “blunt trauma to the head consistent with a road traffic incident”.

In the latest statement issued by Subang Jaya police chief Mohd Fairus Jaafar, he said the fully clothed victim had injuries on the back of his head and signs of friction on the back of his body.

He added that the victim is believed to have been walking in the area but an inspection of the location found no indication of his death.

“The body was sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem and it was found that the cause of death was blunt trauma to the head consistent with a road traffic incident.

“The pathology report was received by the police from the Shah Alam Hospital doctor today.”

Earlier, Fairus said police were alerted to the victim’s remains at 11pm Wednesday by a member of the public.

He added that the body was found at the side of Jalan Besar Subang Jaya, across a row of shops along Jalan SS14/2.

“Initial police investigations discovered the lifeless body of a Chinese man lying at the side of the street.

“There were several injury marks on the victim’s body and detailed reports will be known after a post mortem is conducted as to whether the death was due to criminal elements or a traffic accident,” said Fairus in a statement issued earlier today.

He also urged for members of the public to come forward should they have any additional information into the case.

Those with information can channel it to the Subang Jaya district police control room by calling 03-5621-0343.

Several social media posts were uploaded by someone believed to be the victim’s sister seeking for more information into what transpired that led to his death.

“We have yet to get any clues what had happened to him,” read the post.

The user also posted information that the victim’s funeral is set to take place in Alor Star, Kedah, with his remains to be brought there tonight. – The Vibes, January 14, 2022
