KUALA LUMPUR – A total of 1,067 Covid-19 cases have been recorded today in the Top Glove Sdn Bhd worker dormitories, said Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob in his daily briefing.

He said so far, a total of 5,794 workers have been screened, with 1,889 testing positive for Covid-19.

“The Health Ministry has informed us that there has been a sharp rise in cases among Top Glove workers. I was informed that today itself, there are 1,067 positive cases among them.

“Based on that, the National Security Council (NSC) has agreed to close, in stages, 28 Top Glove factories in Klang.

"This will facilitate operations to screen and quarantine workers from the company."
