MELAKA – Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) is aiming to win at least one of the five parliamentary seats to be contested by the coalition in the 15th general election (GE15).

Melaka GTA chief Muhammad Nazriq Abdul Rahman said the five parliamentary seats to be contested are Masjid Tanah, Alor Gajah, Tangga Batu, Hang Tuah Jaya, and Jasin.

The GTA candidate for the Alor Gajah parliamentary seat however did not reveal which seat the party is targeting to win.

“If possible, we want to win all five, but we have targeted a minimum of one seat. We will mobilise the entire machinery to that parliamentary seat concerned,” he told a media conference to introduce GTA’s parliamentary candidates for Melaka here tonight.

Nazriq said GTA will also announce a manifesto at the state and parliamentary level by offering an agenda focusing on clean leaders and economic prosperity.

Besides Nazriq, the four other GTA candidates are Handrawirawan Abu Bakar (Masjid Tanah, Ghazali Abu (Tangga Batu), Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh (Hang Tuah Jaya), and Mohd Daud Nasir (Jasin). – Bernama, November 3, 2022
