SEREMBAN – The Communications and Digital Ministry will soon announce good news for media practitioners registered with the Information department, said its minister Fahmi Fadzil.

He said previously, the Rahmah Postpaid Incentive, which provides a RM10 rebate, was only offered to civil servants.

The ministry is now working on extending the initiative to media practitioners.

Fahmi said this in his speech when launching the Semarak Gemilang Malaysia Madani OHMYDIN! Meriah Bersama programme in conjunction with the National Month and Mydin’s 66th anniversary celebrations, here today.

Earlier, at the event, Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd managing director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin announced a special discount to about 12,000 media practitioners with a media certification card in recognition of their significant contributions to the country.

He said that details about the special offer will be announced on Mydin Malaysia’s official social media sites soon. – Bernama, August 17, 2023
