Dr Sim and Ting will lead SUPP into the coming state election - December 7, 2024

SARAWAK United People’s Party president Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian and secretary-general Datuk Sebastian Ting were returned unopposed along with other top brass members during the party election today.

Ting said there was no challenge for the post of president, secretary general, two deputy presidents and treasurer posts during the triennial party conference held in Kuching.

This means that Dr Sim and Ting will lead SUPP into the coming state election due in 2026 as they will lead the party for the 2024-2027 term.

Dr Sim is the deputy premier while Ting is the deputy state minister of tourism, culture and creative talents.

SUPP is part of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak state government.

The other coalition partners are Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Sarawak, Parti Rakyat Sarawak and the Progressive Democratic Party. - December 7, 2024
