A MAN was caught on CCTV stealing female underwear on two separate incidents in the Kepong area recently.

According to reports in China Press, the first incident occurred in Taman Kepong on Sept 28 and the other on Oct 3 in Taman Daya.

According to Dic Lai, the assistant to Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, the man was caught stealing female underwear hung out to dry.

CCTV footage revealed that the man climbed over the gate of one house before 'choosing' from several underwear which were on a clothes rack.

"The man was spotted cycling around late at night before climbing over the gate to steal the underwear.

"The man slowly browsed the racks, as if he were shopping, before stealing the underwear and climbing out," said Lai.

The man wore a yellow t-shirt in both incidents and his face was clearly captured by CCTV. Some residents have also recognised him as someone who often loiters around the Jinjang Utara area.

Two victims have since lodged police reports and Lai urged others who had fallen victim to do the same. - October 5, 2025
