PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) Chief Whip, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has left it entirely to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to conduct an investigation into Padang Serai MP, Datuk Azman Nasrudin who was arrested in connection with a corruption case.

He said his party would not interfere in the matter at all and would leave it to the legal process to take its course.

"We will leave it to the legal process, see what the outcome of the investigation is. This matter is still under investigation, I cannot comment further," he said.

According to him, PN is keeping an open mind and hopes that the Padang Serai MP will be given the right to have a lawyer and the probe conducted transparently.

It was earlier reported that Azman confirmed that he was detained by the MACC for charges related to the Kedah state government's cattle farming joint venture project.

However, he came forward to question the action of changing his status from witness to accused in the case. - December 6, 2025
