KINABATANGAN – Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has reminded voters not to make the same “mistake” they did in the 2018 general election (GE) that led to no single party having a supermajority in the current federal government.

The Sabah Umno chief said the “mistake” is the reason behind Malaysia experiencing political instability and the people are the ones who suffer.

He added that the political instability has caused “turbulence”, besides “immobilising” the economy and development.

Bung said the opposition was given 22 months to helm the government – when Pakatan Harapan won the 2018 GE – but failed to deliver its election promises while having a vendetta against Umno and Barisan Nasional.

“To win the coming election, we have to work like winners. We should not take for granted the duties given to us. We must be closer to the party members and the people and win the support for Umno and BN in GE15,” he said, hinting that the election is just around the corner.

He said this in a statement following his Bukit Garam Umno meeting here recently.

Also present were Kinabatangan Umno deputy chief Datuk Jafry Arifin and division secretary Daut Kahar and division information chief Datuk OKK Titing Putang. – The Vibes, September 19, 2022
