KOTA KINABALU – Assemblymen from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Pakatan Harapan (PH), and Umno have gathered at the Sabah chief minister’s official residence.

The assemblymen began gathering from about 1.30pm, while Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor arrived at 1.40pm.

It is learned that the gathering was to discuss the latest political developments and also to prepare for the special state assembly sitting tomorrow.

Yesterday, Hajiji said he had the backing of 44 of the 79 assemblymen and they had apparently submitted their statutory declarations to the governor the day before.

He had said that their support was “solid and strong”.

However, Sabah Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has claimed that the “game is still on” and the final outcome will only be known tonight when PH chairman and prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi meet in Kota Kinabalu. – The Vibes, January 9, 2023
