KUALA LUMPUR – PKR Wanita chief Fadhlina Sidek today called on all parties to focus on serving the people, regardless of which community they are from.

She urged all representatives, regardless of which party they align with, to put aside all political differences and work hand-in-hand for the people.

“Let us stop all the political games, get down to business, and do what really matters, which is to serve the people.

“...we must place the people’s interest above all else,” she said after the 2023 Rukun Negara Exploration Programme here.

Fadhlina, who is also education minister, was responding to a suggestion by Bachok MP Syahir Sulaiman, who called for a debate on education with her and Jitra assemblyman Haim Hilman.

Syahir claimed that the debate would be a good opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the education system and how to improve it.

“I am not interested in any such debates. We can instead work together to make the relevant improvements needed,” she said.

Fadhlina also stressed the need for educators to foster closer unity with the younger generation.

“As educators, we need to have a good relationship with the younger generation, who are the future of our nation…together, we can shape a better tomorrow,” she added. – The Vibes, August 14, 2023
