KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Women's Coalition for Al-Quds and Palestine (MWCQP) demonstrated unwavering courage and determination in their stand against the ongoing genocide against Palestinians, by handing over protest notes to the US Embassy.

This action sends a powerful message against the complicity of the American government in these tragic events.

Nurul Izzah Anwar, among other notable figures, addressed the diverse crowd, stressing the need for the international community to recognise and respond to the injustices being faced by the Palestinian people.

Nurul Izzah said, "The World Health Organisation and United Nations have spoken out against the atrocities, as even they become victims - with 57 attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza since October 7.

It's imperative that the international community, especially America, acknowledge their complicity in this. With even American legislators being called 'repugnant' by the White House just for calling for Israel’s restraint  - the official position of America stands clear. It is shameful.”

She further addressed the international community, stating, "We call upon countries like the UK, to hear the pleas of Malaysians and the voices of global citizens demanding an end to this genocide.

“Justice is the cornerstone of humanity and without it, there can never be an end to this strife. I implore international media outlets to provide balanced, truthful reporting.

“Every Palestinian child is valuable. We all are responsible for ending this cycle of violence and working towards a just resolution for the Palestinian people."

Nurul Izzah's poignant words resonate with the collective voice of the Malaysian Women's Coalition for Al-Quds and Palestine, as they rally for justice, human rights, and the preservation of humanity in Palestine.  – The Vibes, October 21, 2023
