A COUPLE was arrested after crashing into a police vehicle and fleeing in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan, early this morning.
Deputy Seremban District Police Chief, Superintendent Muhd Amrul Yazid Anuar said the incident occurred at about 1.10am while police were patrolling the BPS 4 area, Senawang.
“Policemen spotted a brown Perodua Bezza at the side of the road and when the police approached to inspect, the driver of the vehicle refused to cooperate and reversed before hitting a police MPV and speeding away,” he said in a statement today.
According to him, the chase between the police and the suspect lasted almost 45 minutes, starting from Jalan Senawang to the Seremban exit near the LEKAS Highway flyover.
The suspect’s vehicle then skidded and hit a wall at the location.
"Checks found that the driver was a 23-year-old Malay man while the passenger was a 22-year-old Malay woman.
“The results of the check found that both suspects had no criminal records, and their urine tests were also negative.
“Both of them are now being detained for investigation under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant in the performance of his duties,” he said. – November 10, 2025
