ROMPIN – A total of 40,538 or 94% out of 43,126 Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) settlers in Pahang have received their land titles, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said.

He said the state government is targeting the remaining settlers to receive their land titles in the next three years.

“The high percentage of those who have received their land titles showed the state government’s commitment to helping them,” he said in his speech at a ceremony to hand over land titles at Felda Selendang 2 here today.

At the ceremony, a total of 132 settlers received their land titles involving 132 house lots and 208 oil palm plantation lots.

Wan Rosdy also informed that the state government has agreed to take over 10 new generation abandoned housing project sites from Felda to be redeveloped as an initiative to provide housing to the Felda community.

At the event, Wan Rosdy also announced a RM500,000 allocation to upgrade the local community surau. – Bernama, December 5, 2022
