KUALA LUMPUR – The Royal Malay Regiment (RAMD) continues to intensify efforts to assist flood victims in Kelantan and Terengganu through Op Murni.

In Kelantan, the operation that started yesterday involved, among others, the 21 RAMD team, which mobilised 13 personnel to evacuate 17 flood victims from Kg Chenderung Kubu and Kg Julok to the relief centre (PPS) at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pengkalan Kubor, Tumpat.

According to a post on the Malaysian 8th Infantry Brigade Facebook page, the 21 RAMD team also joined forces with the Social Welfare Department to distribute aid, including food supplies, to flood victims in Bandar Baru Tumpat.

In Kota Baru, the 8th Brigade through the Territorial Army, involving one officer and 24 personnel, also participated in efforts to relocate flood victims to the PPS at SK Pak Badol, Melor.

Meanwhile, in Terengganu, one officer and 10 personnel from the 18 RAMD (Para) were mobilised to assist the residents in flood-hit Kg Lentang, Dungun, and all victims were evacuated to the PPS. – Bernama, December 22, 2022
