KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Mohd Khalid Ismail is set to be the new Bukit Aman Special Branch director. 

He will be taking over his immediate superior’s role after current special branch director Datuk Baharuddin Ahmad was appointed the new deputy director of national security (strategic communications) under the National Security Council (NSC). 

Royal Malaysia Police Secretary Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin, in a statement last night, said that Baharuddin is a Jusa grade A officer. 

Currently, Khalid is serving under Baharuddin as his deputy. 

For both men, the commencement of their new posts begins on May 8. 

Previously, Home Minister Datuk Saifuddin Nasution said there will be major changes to the police leadership line to better serve the people. – The Vibes, April 7, 2023
