JOHOR BARU – The Johor Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ) has given the assurance that the alleged planned sex party will not happen in any location in the state.

State Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid said the department would work closely with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to ensure that such immoral activities could be prevented.

Although the Twitter account that promoted the immoral activities has been closed, he said it would continue to monitor the social media sites that have been identified as being involved in the matter.

"So far, no other sex party has been reported.

“Regardless of what the organisers plan, we will still make sure it will not happen. That is our commitment,” he told a press conference here today.

In this regard, Fared urged all parties to help channel information to police or the department on such immoral activities.

“We have to prevent it together. Allow the police to do their work and investigation.

“The public can be the eyes and ears of the state authorities and also police…report and do not conspire.

“Your (the organiser) identity has already been known…you can try to hide; we will know and you are being watched.

“Thank you PDRM for tracking down the individuals involved,” he added.
