KUALA LUMPUR – The retail prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol, as well as diesel, will remain unchanged from February 9 and 15.
In a statement, the Finance Ministry said that RON97 remains unchanged at RM3.35 per litre, while RON95 is staying at RM2.05, and diesel at RM2.15.
“To protect consumers from global oil price increase, the government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre, even though the market price for both products has increased beyond the current ceiling price,” it said.
“The government will continue to monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people,” it added.
The retail prices of petroleum products were measured based on the automatic pricing mechanism formula. – The Vibes, February 8, 2023
