KUALA LUMPUR – Fast food chain Burger King now offers meals priced at RM5 as part of its participation in Menu Rahmah – an initiative to provide affordable meals for the hardcore poor.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub officiated the Menu Rahmah addition at the Burger King Persiaran Indah outlet in Johor Baru today.

In a statement, Salahuddin said 140 Burger King outlets in the peninsula would be participating in the initiative.

Individuals who wish to dine at Burger King under the plan will have protein options of either the BK Chick’N Crisp or Cheesy Beef for RM5 per meal.

Each meal is accompanied by a bottle of Dasani mineral water.

Adding to the quality assurance, Salahuddin said the meat used is 100% halal-certified and the company only uses fresh vegetables for its products.

He urged more eateries in the industry, especially other fast food chains, to cooperate with the government and join the initiative to boost its success. – The Vibes, February 10, 2023
