KUALA LUMPUR – A fire that began at a preschool backed by PAS’ early education network Pusat Asuhan Tunas Islam (Pasti) in Section 30, Shah Alam damaged a nearby house and store.

In a statement today, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Centre said there were no victims from the incident at Lorong Haji Said in Kg Jalan Kebun.

“When the Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the double-storey preschool, the fire had spread to the shop building and the house next to the school.

“The fire was successfully controlled at 1.22pm and the department is carrying out fire extinguishing efforts,” the statement said.

It added that a number of fire and rescue personnel and equipment were dispatched from the Shah Alam, Kota Anggerik, Andalas and Port Klang stations.
