KUALA LUMPUR – Newly elected PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli will lead the party in seat negotiations with other Pakatan Harapan (PH) components for the general election, the PKR leadership decided today.

Besides Rafizi, others from PKR who will sit on the PH committee on seat negotiations are secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution, and vice-presidents Nurul Izzah Anwar, Chang Lih Kang and Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who is also Selangor menteri besar.

PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil, who announced this on Facebook, also said the party will be holding a special convention on the general election later this month.

“To improve the party’s preparedness to face GE15 that is likely to be held soon, the leadership also decided that an Elections Convention will be held on Saturday, August 27, in Shah Alam,” Fahmi said. 

Other appointments to PH committees preparing for the general election were also decided at the monthly meeting of the party’s central leadership committee and the political bureau held earlier today, he said.

The other PH election committees and PKR’s appointments are:

-Strategy committee: Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (head), Akmal Nasir, Sim Tze Tzin and Sivarasa Rasiah;

-Manifesto committee; Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad (head), Wong Chen, Sdri Raiyan Abd Rahim and Manivanan Gowin; and,

-Mobilisation committee: Aminuddin Harun (head), Yahya Sahri, David Cheong, Yuneswaran Ramaraj. – The Vibes, August 13, 2022
