KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a special financial aid of RM700 for civil servants in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“In conjunction with Aidilfitri, we have decided to lighten their burden by allocating as much as RM700 for Grade 56 civil servants and below, including those hired under contracts.

“Besides that, a total of RM350 will be distributed for all government retirees. With God’s grace, the payment will be done by April this year,” he said.

He also mentioned that following the increase in the maximum rate of leave replacement (GCR), the administration intends to increase the early redemption of GCR from 50%, which is a maximum of 90 days.

He also added that this effort was planned to help all civil servants in need.

In addition, the prime minister announced a special allowance for all members of the search team of Malaysia who are currently involved in rescue missions in Turkiye and Syria.

“To remember the sacrifice of those involved in the Turkiye and Syria rescue missions, such as the Special Malaysia Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team, National Disaster Management Agency, and the Malaysian Armed Forces, we will be rewarding them RM100 a day for their efforts,” said Anwar. – The Vibes, February 24, 2023
