KUALA PILAH – Perikatan Nasional (PN) election machinery were shocked when they found a pig’s head placed on a party flag outside the entrance of their command centre in Juasseh, Negri Sembilan this morning.

PN’s Juasseh candidate Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith said he was informed about the incident at 8.30am.

He said they believe a severed pig head was also placed outside the home of one of his officers.

“So many things are happening and it’s as we expected. Maybe worse things will happen but we keep calm. This is possibly just a distraction with three days left for the election campaign period,” he said, calling it an act by desperate individuals.

Eddin said he took it as a challenge but did not want to point fingers, instead he would just leave it to the authorities to take action.

The Kuala Pilah Bersatu chief reminded his election machinery to stay positive.

“In my ceramah last night, I reminded the party’s machinery that if we see our opponent’s flag come down, we help put it back up. We want a political culture that is healthy and positive,” he said, pointing out that maturity is required in politics.

Meanwhile, Kuala Pilah district police chief Amran Mohd Ghani confirmed receiving a report on the incident.

He revealed that an investigation is currently underway. – The Vibes, August 9, 2023
